The story has its moments but over all the game play is bland and lifeless. and unlike the original game your decisions have very little effect and the player will often be punished if they try and follow the rules laid out for them such as keep secrets. The game is also extremely anti police and treats officers more as villans and 'hunters' which is a very dangerous message to be sending to an audience.save your money. Disapointing ending to episode 3Seriously, I really love the game, but the slow paced development is tiring me off,i just want to play the rest of it, using the plain excuse of hearing the feedback to improve the game doesn't seem to justify the months of waiting..waiting 5 months between episodes is really turn down for me, especially when the episodes can be finished in 2 hours I don't recommend to people who like to play everything right away and have no patience. Episode 1: a good startEpisode 2: it's a rocky pathEpisode 3: OMGWTFBBQ. (Spoilers) I'm just not a fan of this.I'm not really invested in any characters except obviously just the main 2 characters. At this point in the first game I cared about far more characters than just Max and Chloe. You don't really get to spend enough time with anyone to care. One episodes worth of time to develop a character seems to be the maximum. Consequently I care only about Sean and Daniel and Daniel is really annoying. Now, I was willing to forgive the forced political nonsense after episode 1. It resurface a bit in episode 2, then it was definitely a reason why I didn't like the game at that point and now I had to hear that garbage in episode 3 as well. No one likes that crap, so knock it off. No one wants your left wing opinions in a life is strange game.Another reason I really dislike this is that I am trying to play the path of a smart logical and responsible kid. Having your father die at a young age will mature your rapidly and turn your skin to iron. So I figured something like this would make the kid stop being an idiot. No more drugs, minimal or no drinking especially when you need all the money you can get and especially stop referring to yourself as "the wolf brothers."You don't get the choice to develop the character the way you want. The game is forcing you to be a pothead moron. drinking with hippies who definitely don't care about you. Can't make smart decisions here, nope.I also can't help but feel like at some point, when Daniel keeps screwing up and getting people hurt or in bad situations..he would stop being a punk. No, he unapologetically keeps being selfish and stupid. After your actions get your father killed, after your actions get your grandparents into trouble, after your actions get your brother punched in the face, or your friend killed....you think the stupid kid would simmer down.I don't really have that much fun with this story. Its an escort mission turned into a story, and its draining.. None of the forced choices you make as these kids in this game makes ANY sense.- Lets run away from the cops when we're clearly innocent and have done nothing.- Lets go to a public market while in hiding.- Lets go through someones house we don't actually own.- Lets get involved in drug activity while on the run from the police.Sounds legit.Where is player choice is all I'm asking?Did you guys forget how your first game succeeded in actually being engaging and good?Life advice don't do what these kids do in this game.https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fp4_0861MvM&list=PLPxxdcb86ZHypUzfcvNDJHJbl8o1pUssP&index=2&t=0shttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lQ5Q5rm5Kp8&list=PLPxxdcb86ZHypUzfcvNDJHJbl8o1pUssP&index=2. Best storytelling, graphics design, sound directing and overall result in PC Games I've seen in 30 years.I would pay 50\u20ac\/episode to have one per month.. So, my review after season 3 without any kind of spoilers:I don't know if I should give a thumb up or down because it's somewhere in between. Why?+ The idea of the story and its setting+ the love to the detail in some points (objects, conversations,...)+ The characters (at the beginning)+ The real big impact of your choices+ The graphics- The episodes are very short (especially if you follow the main story and don't investigate everything); I played episode 1- 3 within around 6, maximum 7 hours.- The characters are sadly staying the same and get more and more annoying. I really hoped that we see more a inner conflict and a change of them, but unfortunately this isn't happening yet.- The story is not really worked out in the detail (Story, not the objects, conversations, etc like mentioned before). There are some questions and logical mistakes in my opinion. In one episode, the relation between the two main characters was good and in the next episode it suddenly changed for no reason. seemed a bit like a blanket-filler. Maybe they needed it for episode 4 and 5. At least I hope so. - Same topics( conflicts repeating over again.SUMMARY:This game is NOT Life is Strange 1. It should not be. And that's what you have to remember. It's a new game. A new story. New characters. Even though the idea and the setting fit very well, the developer didn't use all the potential in my opinion. I saw it recently in Ep.3 which took around 1 1\/2 hours to play. There were so many opportunities to put in a little side story or to tell things more detailed. It all seems unfinished. Sadly, because I really enjoyed Episode 1! <3But referring to the recent two episodes, it's pretty quickly told, I could tell all the things that happened within 5 mins. WHO SHOULD BUY?People who love story telling games that are not that long.People who never played story telling games, but would like to get into this genre.People who are into story telling games? Could be. But if you're looking for a really detailed and worked out story, than you will be disappointed so far. I will update my review after Episode 4 :). Your choices doesn't matter (just gives you the illusion of choice), mostly boring and annoying characters (ex. "your" brother...)At least the music is good.(EP1-2-3)
